Introduction to Effective Technical Writing
Program Description
In today's increasingly technical environment, good product and process documentation has become a necessity.
Managers and technical professionals who are not writers by trade are often responsible for producing documentation that supports their work. If you are tasked with writing technical memos, user or product manuals, work instructions and specifications, then this workshop is a must!
In this two-day, hands-on workshop, participants will learn best practices for effective technical writing – matching content and format to the end user's expectations. Through lectures and hands-on example workshops, participants will follow a task-oriented case study from initial concept to final presentation and produce a technical document that is ready for distribution.
You Will Learn:
- The Key Aspects of Technical Writing
- How to Write a Document Plan and Technical Brief
- To Establish and Use Style Guidelines
