First Course Description
CHE 504 Mathematical Analysis in Chemical Engineering
Methods of mathematical analysis selected from such topics as vector analysis, matrices, complex variables, eigenvalue problems, Fourier analysis, Fourier transform, Laplace transform, solution of ordinary and partial differential equations, integral equations, calculus of variation, and numerical analysis. Emphasis is placed on application to the solution of chemical engineering problems.
UTC Customized Schedule
WPI offers the Chemical Engineering master's degree program on-site in Connecticut. The curriculum is customized, and courses are delivered by the same faculty who teach at WPI’s Worcester campus. Participants will be part of a cohort and will advance through each course as a set group, which will maximize the benefits to individuals, teams, and the organization.

- First Class: CHE 504 Mathematical Analysis in Chemical Engineering
- Location: Connecticut (exact location TBD)
- Date: Starting in September 2008
- Day/Time: Each course is offered one weeknight, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
- Duration: 10 weeks
- Frequency: 4 courses per year
