WPI Medical Device Emerging Leader Program
WPI Corporate and Professional Education is partnering with industry professionals to deliver an educational program that promotes cross-functionality among professionals within the medical device industry. This program will give employees the opportunity to work with industry experts from several key areas of the business. They will be able to choose from thirteen modules to determine the most appropriate “track” of five to meet their professional needs. Relevant case studies will be included to demonstrate the benefit and necessity of cross-functionality.

George Vialle
Director of Global Supply Chain Management
Boston Scientific Corporation
George Vialle is a member of the Peripheral Interventions & Vascular Surgery Management Board and has managed multi-echelon, global supply chains in both the Endosurgery and Cardiology groups of Boston Scientific. During his tenure at BSC, George has provided supply chain support for the SAP implementation and ongoing upgrades, planned, and executed the launch of numerous new products, and implemented or lead the S&OP process for key franchises. He earned his BA from University of New Hampshire.
Maria Shepherd
Data Decision Group
Maria Shepherd has more than 20 years of leadership experience in medical device marketing in small start-ups and top-tier companies. She has held senior management positions, including director of marketing for Philips Medical and vice president of marketing for Oridion Medical. Her turnaround capability was demonstrated by her accomplishments in managing a broad array of functions outside of the normal realm of marketing, including clinical studies, clinical education and partner management. She received a BA in biology from University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Babson College.

Participants select one of the following tracks that align with their professional needs. Individual workshop topics are noted under each track. Note that you can customize a track if you prefer. Completion of five workshops will earn you a WPI Medical Device Emerging Leader Certificate.

Workshops will be held once a month. Participate each month that your selected workshop is offered.
Time: 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Fee: $795 per workshop *
* Subsequent registrations from the same company, for the same workshop, is $715 per person
