Newport Programs

WPI's Corporate and Professional Education develops for-credit graduate programs in partnership with organizations that need to develop managers and technical professionals. These partnerships afford many advantages to companies and their employees, including a broad knowledge base that can be applied to various aspects of the business; enhanced camaraderie between participating employees; educational credit that can be applied to graduate degrees; and entirely on-site degree programs in many disciplines.

Many aspects of Corporate and Professional Education programs can be tailored to meet the needs of individual organizations, including programs that can include a variety of courses and disciplines and unique scheduling formats. Classes can be taught on your site, at WPI's campus, or through real-time video conferencing to multiple locations.

Graduate Degree Courses held in Newport - next class starts in January 2008

Courses will be held at the Courtyard Marriott in Middletown, RI, 4-7 pm weekdays, for 14 weeks.

Electrical Engineering — Program focuses on Acoustics, Ultrasound, Radiofrequency, Microwave, and Antennas

Registration and Admission

Anyone with a bachelor of science and the requisite background for the subject matter may register for courses. To register for any of the graduate classes, a registration form must be submitted.

Additionally, you must submit an Application for Admission to Graduate Study before the completion of the second course in the program. Admission decisions are based on your prior academic record, so official school transcripts must also be submitted with your application. Letters of recommendation are optional and GRE test scores are not required.

Payment

Payment for each course is due 10 business days after the start of the course. If credit card payment information is indicated on the registration form, your card will be charged on the first day of each course. Otherwise, a bill will be sent to you on the first day of each course. There is additional space on the form for special billing instructions if you'd like us to consider other billing accommodations.
