This two-day workshop builds on the knowledge and skills of WPI's Fundamentals of Project Management Workshop. It integrates fundamental project management techniques with the new features of Microsoft Office Project 2007. The focus for today’s project managers is the planning and forecasting of resource requirements across multiple projects as well as the management of project deadlines and schedules.
Microsoft Office Project 2007 offers its users the capability to dynamically plan, track and communicate project status and variance analysis to all stakeholders; build a project plan and fine tune the details; schedule tasks, assign resources and manage dependencies; monitor progress and costs and keep your project on track; format Gantt charts and other views to communicate project data; and, begin exploring enterprise project management systems.
Note: Attendees need to bring a laptop computer to this workshop. You will receive a copy of the text Microsoft Office Project 2007 Step by Step by Chatfield and Johnson, which includes a companion CD-ROM.
