Failure Mode and Effects Analysis - UPDATED!!
One of the most powerful techniques to avoid process problems or to prevent defects in products and services is the FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis). The use of FMEA helps to anticipate and prevent failures in both design and process performance.
In this highly-interactive two-day workshop, you will learn to assess the probability of failures in your product, process and machine designs. You will also learn proven techniques for identifying and minimizing defects in both manufacturing and service processes.
Via hands-on workshops and applications to your own designs and processes, you will perform both design and process FMEA's, present your findings, critique the results, and plan for future applications when you return to work. At the end of this program, you will have a new set of skills that you can apply right away to improve the quality and productivity of your operations.
Included in the workbook materials is a copy of Guidelines for Performing a Design and Process FMEA, a handy reference tool for use during the workshop. This Guideline is also an excellent template for drafting a company-specific procedure and document for your organization.
Prerequisite: In order to benefit from this workshop, attendees must have completed a statistical process control (SPC) workshop or have substantial background in probability.
