Design for Manufacturability
Program Description
Successful companies must address the need for product cost reductions to stay competitive in today's global marketplace. As over 80% of a product's cost is determined early in the developmental stages, these successful companies have embraced design for manufacturability (DFM) techniques as a critical element in achieving their cost reduction objectives.
WPI's highly interactive DFM workshop will provide you with the skills required to use and implement design for manufacturing and assembly. The course includes lectures, discussions, team workshops and presentations that will give you the practical skills to begin implementing DFM techniques at your organization that may translate directly into product savings.
