Understanding and Implementing Lean for Professionals
Program Description
This two-day workshop was developed and designed to help organizations successfully implement Lean applications in non-manufacturing and administrative areas. All Lean initiatives have three main goals:
- Lower Costs
- Improve Business Processes
- Improve Services to their Customers
Through lectures, discussions, demonstrations and team-based workshops, you will learn how to identify and reduce the waste that costs your organization time and money, frustrates you and your associates and often leads to customer loss. In addition, you will learn an integrated business approach to successfully drive out non-value added activities in your organization's processes.
A special feature of this corporate workshop features a pre-meeting visit by the seminar leader to select processes the teams will work on during the training.
The program is presented as two separate sessions with at least two-three weeks in between sessions. Attendees meet as teams during the two sessions to complete an assignment and prepare for team presentations at the beginning of session two.
Who Should Attend
Managers, leaders, supervisors and other professionals who want to benefit from learning how to implement lean applications in their non-manufacturing processes.
Note: This workshop is available on a corporate basis only. For information on bringing this workshop to your company, contact Sharon Deffely, Director of Corporate and Professional Education, at +1-508-831-5635 or email sdeffely@wpi.edu..
