Certificate Programs
Project Management – Learn ways to save time and money by applying better project management techniques. In these very practical programs you will learn how to select, motivate and lead project team members. Acquire proven, workable techniques to help you identify and solve your most pressing project problems, and learn methods for maintaining close control of your projects.
Process Improvement – Develop the skills to help reduce costs, eliminate waste, and comply with national and international standards. No matter what industry you're in, improved quality processes will strengthen the competitive position of your company. These seminars provide you with the latest tools, techniques, and strategies that can help your organization gain a competitive advantage.
Six Sigma Process Improvement – This quality initiative is a structured, quantitative approach for driving improvements in your organization through the use of defined metrics in manufacturing, service and financial processes. A successful SSPI initiative brings about cultural changes that are necessary for continuous improvement.
Lean Enterprise - Learn the basic characteristics of Lean: high flexibility; low inventory; keeping a few "key" measurements; small (or no) repair areas; high performance teams; benchmarking; strong leadership. You will also learn how these characteristics must be applied at your organization to meet and beat your competition.
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing – This certificate program provides a means of specifying engineering design and drawing requirements with respect to actual functions and relationships of part features. With the growing demand for more specifically and economically stated engineering design requirements, today's manufacturing professionals must thoroughly understand this universal engineering language.
Leadership and Management Development – Learn the essential management and leadership skills needed to grow in today's highly competitive and rapidly changing business environment. Topics include: managing and leading teams; communicating with and motivating colleagues; managing resources well; solving problems creatively; negotiating effectively; and understanding the complexities of a global business environment.

Workforce Development Training
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has approved funding for workforce development training for eligible Massachusetts companies. To remain productive and competitive, Massachusetts businesses need employers with up-to-date, leading-edge skills. To make that a reality, the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund awards grants that help businesses and labor organizations train the commonwealth's workers, enhancing their existing skills, and introducing them to new technologies, production methods and customer satisfaction tools. During the past four years, WPI has helped many Massachusetts companies develop and deliver programs to improve their business operations and practices through this initiative.
